After discussion with management, Ground Control will be suspending operations, and taking a short hiatus. Our final night at the Catch One will be Monday, March 19th, two weeks from now. I would like for us to use these next two weeks to celebrate a great run of almost eight years in the same location.
Jewel and the Catch One are a big factor in our ability to have continued operations as long as we have. I am very grateful for her contributions, support, mentoring and guidance, as well as her friendship. All relationships evolve, and this is a natural evolution for our relationship with the Catch One. We will take a brief pause to reflect, recharge and regroup, and lay out a map of our future. That future will include the Catch One, as we will return on occasion for special events.
It is my sincerest hope that you will come out and join us in our celebration of 7+ years of fun, friends and innovation. I would like to gather everyone's contact information to keep you all informed of some events already in the works. This is not the end of our journey, just the end of the beginning. ;-)

Family, friends, and loved ones. Our close friends Laurel and Dan experienced a tragedy where they lost so much. Their lives were violated and their house, gone. These two people opened their home to anyone that needed it, and gave when they had nothing. We ask you all to meet up at Ground Control on Monday, February 27th, 2012 to rally together and give and help our extended family and theirs.
Hours: 6:30-8:00pm Happy Hour; 8:00pm-2:00am GC Fundraising Hours
Donations: ninety percent of entry cost ($4) will go to the newlyweds. All songs are based on a $2 requested donation, and if you enjoy a particular performance a special donation tip jar will be available. Additionally, art and craft vendors are giving a percentage of their profits to the newlyweds & their roommates as well. When you buy from a vendor a large portion goes to those in need. In addition to the craft faire, vendors will all be donating a piece of merchandise for a gift basket to be raffled off later in the evening.
