The first quarter of 2010 has just started, and we're already steamrolling through some awesome events!
Every Friday night, you can join us in Chinatown, as GC presents STRAYLIGHT! Alternative karaoke at Roberto's, 21+, no cover! Once again, GC invades a unique club space with our trademark brand of chaos and karaoke. (http://straylight.darxxide.com)
Tonight is business as usual at Ground Control. We've been tearing up the building pretty hardcore the last few weeks, but it's time to get back to basics. We'll be going full-tilt on the alternative karaoke all night tonight. No interruptions, no distractions, just the insanity you guys bring to the table....
We're hashing out an agenda of events for the next month or two. Next Monday is only slightly post-Valentine's Day, so we'll see what we can cook up between now and then to make it more interesting. Speaking of cooking up things, Marissa is handling dinner arrangments tonight, so save a little appetite and see what she's making. |

Despite the torrential downpour in Los Angeles on this MLKJr. holiday, we WILL be open! We're double-checking on the food situation, and so far, it looks like Doomie will be bringing tacos for dinner tonight. Please, be very careful. Angelinos are notorious for losing their marbles when the water falls from the sky.... |

This evening, it's business as usual.
Our host, Von Schreeck, will be in attendence, regaling us with tall tales from God Only Knows. Marissa is handling kitchen duties as well. A beautiful L.A. day is paving the way for a glorious sunset. If that doesn't put a song in your heart, I don't know what will!

LAST-MINUTE EXECUTIVE DECISION!!
Monday, January 4th WILL, in fact, be the first Ground Control of the new year! After some light deliberation, and the realization that your fearless leader will probably just sit around the house Monday night wishing for something to do, the decision was made to go ahead. There are friends and family in from out of town, and in true Los Angeles form, the rest of you crazy bastards aren't done partying yet! So, round up the troops, circle the wagons, nuke the site from orbit, whatever you have to do, just get ready for GROUND CONTROL 2010 *this* Monday! |
